Herefordshire Council has approved a planning application for a micro-pub in the former Age Concern premises in 38 Bye Street. This building was a pub in 1830, called The White Lion, which closed in about 1960.

No restrictions have been placed except the usual ones:

  • that work must start within 3 years of permission being granted (ie. by 6th May 2019) and
  • that development shall strictly be in accordance with the plans that were submitted.

A separate application for the sale of alcohol will need to be applied for in due course.
