Two very different shows coming soon to The Market Theatre:

Saturday 6th April at 7:30pm

in The Market Theatre
The Pantaloons present
The Odyssey

Has the talent of The Pantaloons no end?  With hilarious versions of Pride and Prejudice, The Importance of Being Earnest, War of the Worlds and As You Like It proving huge triumphs at The Market Theatre, they now dip their proverbial toes in old Homer’s shoes.

Sing, O Muse, of the critically-acclaimed Pantaloons and their hilarious new verse adaptation of the most epic journey of all time...  Stranded war hero Odysseus must struggle against the odds to get home to his wife; but can he battle his way through grumpy gods, naughty nymphs, monocular monsters and over a hundred sleazy suitors?  All whilst wearing an Ancient Greek robe that looks suspiciously like a bedsheet?  Or will he – and The Pantaloons – remain all at sea... ?

Tickets £13 (£9 Students)
(also available from Info in Herefordshire in the Master's House, or phone 07967-517125).

Saturday 13th April at 8pm

in The Market Theatre
Lab Rats and David William Bryan present
In Loyal Company

The second show in this Spring’s Market Theatre programme that made the Top Ten shows in the 2018 Edinburgh Fringe, In Loyal Company is the incredible true story of missing World War II soldier and prisoner of War Arthur Robinson, written and performed by his great-nephew, David William Bryan.

May 1941.  Hitler’s bombs rain on Liverpool.  Local packer, Arthur Robinson, joins up becoming a private in the 18th reconnaissance division.  Deployed to Singapore, his ship is destroyed by Japanese dive bombers on arrival.  Arthur is declared missing.  This extraordinary true story of survival is a tour-de-force war epic.

This is one of the best pieces of physical theatre I have ever seen.  Do NOT miss it
