Council Propaganda and a load of Bull
Herefordshire Council has described its £16 million budget cut as 'very complex'. Well maybe it would be complex for mere mortals on barely a living wage, but when you get paid over £180,000 as Herefordshire Council boss Chris Bull does, you'd think he'd be right up for the job. His extra intelligence that we're paying for, this ubermensch top dollar stuff we're paying into, must make him the man for the moment. He can think and administrate us out of this mess, surely.
Oh, hang on a minute, maybe it was Bull and his inflated wages and those of his minnions that have helped create this problem in the first place.
Spending hundreds of thousands of pounds losing a High Court battle in his attempt to pervert local democracy doesn't help the tax payer's cause either.
Was it hundreds of thousands of pounds? We can only guess - the Council's 'communication' department won't communicate the true cost, the 'information' shop (Council office) doesn't have that information and the council's 'press' office don't regard the releasing of this news as proper to their propaganda agenda.
I'm sure loadsamoney Chris Bull and his press officers will have no problem persuading the local loved-up media that they know exactly what they are doing.
Here's an idea to help them.
The press office that we tax payers fund costs about £380,000 a year and serves about four local/national media companies and corporations. These media profit from the council propaganda, so why shouldn't they pay for it instead of us?
Part of the £380,000 saved here could be spent on the elderly services that are being cut in Ledbury.
The Ledbury Reporter hasn't reported these cuts the council are making to Elgar Housing, but they've been told by the Council today to tell us the that the council is "protecting core services and the most vulnerable residents was a priority."
Propaganda? What propaganda? It's just Bull****.
