PUNK.....? Crumbly? Decayed wood? Chinese incence? A prison inmate indebted to another for sexual and other favor? A tramp's young homosexual lover willing to offer himself for money? A prostitute? A hoodlum? A ruffian? Worthless? Poor in quality? Or a basic wanting to be different?......

So what is PUNK ? It may have  be an Anti-Establishment youth movement of the late 70's not originally about clothing or fashion but a real belief in the music, mindset, lyrics and attittude regarding society and life that was probably ignited by the country's economical state.

A man walks up to a punk rocker standing outside a police station and asks "What's Punk?" The punk picks up a rock throws it through the police station window and then urinates over a police car and replies "That's Punk!"  So the man breaks another window and also urinates over a police car and say's "So That's Punk?"...."No!" Replies the Punk "That's Trendy".   

Punk is about not being a punk, Think, Say ,Do, Be what you want, Don't be cool, Rebel against any restrictions, Listen to any music you like ,Dress how you like, Don't impress, Don't fit in, Don't get labelled or categorized but most of all be true to yourself and recycle some cool old music with 3 chords and a 4Q attitude.       

There are still many young artists regenerating the X and paying true homage to active minds alike from the golden age of anarchic dreams and the self destruction of a disappointed youth that will never see the light of day but will always be there to represent some of the things we would all like to express but are far too busy being a well oiled cog in the everturning machine of society, so lets flip em the V's, gob on there shoes and say "Wot The Punk You Lookin At!"
