Ledbury Car Parks

Tuesday 1st December: 1:55pm. Bye Street car park is 100% full with cars queueing up to park. The Homend also looks full with parked cars, with just one disabled space near the Olive Tree available.

Re: Ledbury Car Parks

Its times like this when we should maybe think about knocking down an old outdated building like the library and build another car park there instead! Sorry, i'm still just a little annoyed about not getting a parking space earlier.

Re: Ledbury Car Parks

Thats not nice. What would you suggest next? To collapse the market house and build a bus station down ledbury high street?

Re: Ledbury Car Parks

Fact: Both car parks have often been full during the past five years. I know because I park in them.
Fact: Both Herefordshire and Ledbury councils have recently surveyed the car parks, the former deliberately during quiet periods. The latter I don't know. Both councils want to show that Ledbury doesn't need more car parking.
Twist.
I'm all for no car parking at all. These new fandangled energy efficient, non carbon, non polluting air-cars are fantastic, and, when I can afford it I'm going to buy one. When we all have one hover-parked above our houses recharging on sun and moonlight we won't need any car parks and St Katherine's can be turned back to its former glory as a garden.
Fantastic, brilliant, bring it on!

Re: Ledbury Car Parks

3.35pm Thursday 3rd December: Bye Street car park full, except for one disabled space, next to which a car waits, engine purring, exhaust polluting, occupants watching the vacant, unused space, waiting, waiting...

Re: Ledbury Car Parks

Saturday 12th December 11:40am both St Katherine's and Bye Street car parks 100% full with cars waiting, engines turning over. This is an important shopping day in Ledbury in the run up to Christmas. I wonder how many people coming in think 'sod it' and drive off else where.
