Market House Charity Collectors

Shame on you, market trader [ed., name supplied and deleted], for approaching the little old lady collecting for Marie Curie this morning (outside Jason's) and saying, quote, 'move along...... this is my patch'. You're licensed to peddle your wares and you use the opportunity to collect for your charity every Saturday. The MC people (and others) collect only occasionally and even then for 2hr stints only. You have absolutely no right to tell people to move along - it's not the first time you've done it, in fact. So don't do it.

You might also try putting a smile on your face......

Re: Market House Charity Collectors

I was collecting for Marie Curie outside "Well Worth It" where I had been directed to stand for the 2 hours.  A stout and very aggressive female told me to move away as i was "Taking trade from the Big Issue Seller"  As an unpaid but very willing volunteer I was taken aback by this person's naked aggression and total rudeness, making judgements against me.  If fact the young lady selling the big issue requested me to be near her as it seemed to encourage people to give her money as well as buying a daffodil for the Marie Curie Cancer fund.  So Mrs Member of the Public, i trust you will cease judging others and that you may never be unfortunate as to require the services of Marie Curie.
