During h.Art Week Alex and his son Floyd will be giving daily demonstrations in the art of blacksmithing.

Alex Wilkins frequently has apprentices at The Forge. He was most proud of his young neighbour, a lad named Sam Baron (just turned 17), who has been training awith Alex and Floyd at weekends and gaining his first and only experiences of blacksmithing there.

Sam decided he wanted to make something for h.Art week and went about designing and making a music stand. The stand is fully adjustable and of a professional quality. It took Sam a week to make the stand and was sold on first viewing for £150 with a second stand being commissioned too.
