To mark World Diabetes Day the Town Council joined forces with Ledbury Rotary Club to turn Ledbury's historic market house blue for the evening. This was part of a plan to turn 499 other buildings blue around the world at the same time.

One bystander present described the attempt as a 'persil blue' and there was obvious disappointment at the lack of intensity of the blue at the 6pm switch on. Apparently the building did become bluer later.
