A cracking night! Ever musically incestuous, three members of three Ledbury bands came together last night under the flag of convenience now officially known as "A Month of Sundays" and represented Ledbury musical excellence at the Duke's Arms, Presteigne, and were booked immediately for the Hay Fringe Festival, 31st May - now there's a result!

"A Month of Sundays" are Marcus Morris (mandolin), Nick Trigg (guitar and vocals) and Adrian Whiles (djembe, darabouka, bodhran, snare), playing a range of self-penned numbers and semi-covers in a folky-blues style.

Mr Trigg's pedal difficulties did little to spoil the pièce de résistance (Whisky in the Jar) and Mark (Treefrogs) Stevenson was able to enjoy his habitual and unhealthy diversionary tactic for the duration of this, his least favourite song.

Also performing were (left to right):

- Paul Hassett, the true troubador of Knucklas (a strongly themed guitarist/vocalist)
- Toby Wainwright Johns and his able percussionist Elsbeth (think Incredible String Band and you're almost there)
- Steve Littlejohn (a one man electric guitar festival - loopback madness)

Now think , NOW THINK how much of this is at risk because of a Government in denial. How many pubs closed now?
