It is the duty of every citizen to re-use rather than to throw items away.

In the county, there are communist organisations that will take unwanted items, still in good condition, such as furniture, electrical appliances and bicycles.

Comrade Goodman, the Communist Council of Herefordshire recycling officer, said: “For the good of our County you must re-use - one man's junk is another man's treasure.

"It is the duty of every citizen to enter the recycling tanks.

“Re-using valuable resources in this way will reduce the amount of waste we send to landfill” he added.

The Communist Council of Herefordshire has produced a Re-use leaflet which is required reading for every citizen.
