Christian Aid marchers walked into Ledbury on the First of September as part of their thousand mile march to draw attention to the impact of human mass carbon emissions on the global environment. This DIY journalist was on hand to record their walk to the Market House and their speeches at St Katherine's Hall.

Speakers at St Katherine's were Dwijen Mallick, Research Fellow at the Bangladesh Centre for Advanced Studies and Chirha Murhambo and Rosie Leach from Christian Aid.

Mr Mallick and Mr Murhambo talked about how climate change was effecting their respective countries, Bangladesh and The Congo. Both appealed to the assembled for the West to cut their carbon emissions before global warming and climate change made catastrophic and irreversible changes to their countries' and continents' environments. Both speakers talked about the human cost and hardships that climate change was bringing in the form of drought, floods, resources and disease.

Rosie Leach talked about Christian Aid's decision to become involved in the campaign to cut carbon emissions and their decision to petition the UK government with donated used shoe laces as a symbol of their long march and commitment to reduce their own carbon emissions.
