Supermarket Debate

Acting on a request from a reader of the Ledbury Community Portal I have unarchived all the articles relating to the planning applications of Tesco and Sainsbury's.

These articles can now be found in the 'Article' section on the left side of the page under the heading 'Supermarket Debate'.

So if you missed it the first time round you can catch up on the supermarkets' plans, the town council's 'discussion' about the mayor's secret meeting with Tesco; the mayor's subsequent denial on video that he ever had that meeting with Tesco; LOTS lobbying the town council; the infamous article LOTS Hijack Council's Special Meeting and Rich Hadley's subsequent denial: Town Council not Hijacked by LOTS.

There has also been plenty of debate around the issues, sometimes relevant and informative, sometimes a little trivial and trite, occasionally interspersed with some mud-throwing and virtual web-wrestling.

As the supermarket debate will rumbles on, the Ledbury Community Portal welcomes the opportunity to be the local focus for news and debate on this issue.
