Up to 73 million sharks are slaughtered every year. Their absence contributes to the fatal damage of numerous marine ecosystems around the world.

Say NO to Shark Finning!

One way sharks are killed is through shark finning. Every day sharks are taken out of the water, have their fins sliced off, and are then thrown back in, left to die a slow and painful death.

"Finning" is done to satisfy an appetite for dishes such as shark fin soup. However, there are many other alternatives to shark fins that do not harm any animals or ecosystems. Sharks are on the brink of extinction and "finning" continues to bring them closer and closer to the edge.

You can help save sharks from this dismal fate. Take the 'No Shark Fin' pledge and save sharks!
