The Ledbury Portal understands that Tesco is to put in a bid to the council to purchase the recently closed public toilet in Church Lane.

It is understood that the global grocer wants to turn the centrally located toilet into a micro market. It is expected the grocer will use the facility to retail its cut flowers, dairy chocolates, lad's mags and soft pornography.

A spokesperson for Tesco said 'we [sic] could use the extra toilet space, but we have absolutely no idea where our cut flowers are grown.'
