No five-thirty awakening by excited children No cries of disappointment when opening presents No moans of ‘Do we have to go to church?’ No demands every ten minutes: ‘When will it be ready Mummy?’ No undercooked turkey No overcooked sprouts No flaming pudding setting fire to the decorations No post-lunch headache No fights no broken toys No fractious kids no grumpy Grannies No Sound of Music no Mary Poppins Just a wonderful day, gift-wrapped in magic Tied with a big bow of appreciation – No chance!
