Members of the Ross-on-Wye Town Band entertained Ledbury shoppers yesterday with some Christmas carols.
The Ross-on-Wye Town Band are the only full brass band in Herefordshire. They play for fun and to entertain others and describe themselves as a 'non-contesting band.'
They practise on Fridays evenings (7:30 to 9:30) at the Ryefield Centre and welcome competent players of all ages. They are about to rejuvenate the training band and are always on the look out for new members of any age, regardless of their abilities. So, if you're interested in learning a brass instrument and playing in a big band here is your chance.
The training group meet on the same day (Friday) one hour earlier (6:30pm) with a qualified tutor and free loan instruments if required.
