An obituary of Dr Ronald Sandison from the Telegraph who passed away at the age of 94 back in June.

Dr Sandison had lived in retirement in Ledbury with his wife, Beth Almond, since 1992. Dr Sandison had pioneered techniques for treating mental patients at Powick Hospital near Worcester, which had included psychotherapy, treatments using art and music and experimental LSD treatment. These practices in the 1950s replaced previous 'medieval' methods such electric shock treatment and lobotomies.
