Ledbury Town Council last night (22.9.11) voted at Full Council to recommend that Herefordshire Council refuses the Tesco planning application. No grounds were given for this recommendation. The vote was 5 for the recommendation, with three opposing it. Six councilors abstained, including the three ward councilors, while councilor Eager refused to vote. Councilor Bradford asked to see the impact assessment that Herefordshire Council has commissioned. However, he was told by the clerk that it had not yet been prepared, but that the council had to make a decision without it.

These people stand supposedly to represent the people who elected them
This is not a ringing endorsement for having the superstore or not!! Not the reality on the street. This so called vote begs many questions....
