RepRap at Ice Bytes on Ledbury Portal

The South West RepRap group hosted its regular meetup at the Ice Bytes Café in Ledbury, Owners John and Shoko kindly provided plenty of space, wonderful coffee and even a big cake during our day of 3D printing and technology.

Machines were updated, repaired and demonstrated to local businesses and individuals, along with schools, children and anyone else that popped into the café during the day.

RepRap is an open-source personal 3D printer capable of making all sorts of real products straight from your computer. RepRap is celebrating 7 years since the inception at Bath University where Dr Adrian Bowyer created the first machine; since that point RepRap technology has spread all over the world and tens of thousands of machine are now in operation and many more are being built. Most machines are built from parts printed on another RepRap machine, making the technology self-replicating.
